The rubber outsole is lighweight which allows all-conditions traction and grip. The midsole was reinforced with glass fiber for a better power transfer. The ME4 is also equipped with the Mountain Enduro technology that improves balance and bike control by letting the heel section accommodate some lateral movement, while optimizing pedalinge fficiency at the sole/cleat interface. This flexibility better connects the rider and pedal with what the bicycle is doing underfoot, while maintaining comfort and fluidity through all ranges of rider motion.
